Make sure you have plenty of time to train your staff and yourself for the transition and have an increased bill for all of the extra add-ons. Pros: This system really does have almost anything a chiropractic office will need. The scheduling is easy to set up and use. The billing is fairly straight forward. Cons: Many parts of this software feel like you're running a late 90's Microsoft platform. There are too many functions and it is starting to mirror ChiroTouch in the fact that it is so robust that is gets in the way of itself. There are so many options we didn't use, or know how for that matter. I would not call this system ""streamlined"". It takes a lot of training to get become competent. Also, like ChiroTouch there are a lot of add-on costs... sadly the add-ons are some the reasons you would switch. You will pay more than you think."

Our clinic is a pediatric OT, PT and ST clinic. We started using this program in 2010. It has made our clinic flow so much easier and our payments are coming in much quicker than they used to! It was not set up originally to do multiple disciplines (especially speech) but the team at bestPT has worked with us to make changes that will fit our clinic! Tom and Naomi are our "coaches" and they check in with us once a month to make sure everything is working the way it is supposed to! They are also quick to respond to any tickets that we open on the workbench when we have problems. We are still having to "tweak" some things for our speech therapists but overall this is a great program! It's the best of scheduling, treatment notes, and billing/posting all in one...and most of all, customer service is THE BEST!

It is so much easier to create a task that is attached to the patient's account. We used to use post its, which were difficult to keep track of. We are such a busy office, too many questions come up in a day and we do not have many free moments to ask the doctor. The front desk staff can quickly create a task that the doctor can later address at a convenient time and they can easily pull up the patients records directly from the task.The max days feature allows us to program how many days a person can go without a visit, then it will populate the patient on a task list for us to reach out to them and remind them to come in."

"Overall: Overall I am happy with the system and how much more efficient it has made our office from the front, to billing and to the doctor doing his notes. Pros: There are many functions to Genesis that we at our office really enjoy. It is able to connect the schedule well and the immediate access to notes for the doctor. The schedule is linked to our online scheduling and review wave makes it very convenient for our patients to be able to communicate effectively. We can communicate within the office using their task bar (making it HIPAA compliant) and with Genesis team or billing stream lining our questions and concerns. Cons: There is a lot of functionality in Genesis. We probably use a quarter of all the functions that comes with this system. The intake process has been a bit tough for us as we find patients have a tough time navigating and getting through it in a timely manner. There is a lot of processes going on at once so the transition from page to page is not as fast as I would like so we upped our computers to 16G of ram because 8 was not cutting it."

"Overall: Before we switched to Genesis, we were unable to give up our physical files. We were operating on a mirrored hard drive system and local server and not cloud based. We had lost all faith in having an actual EHR and our insurance billing bottomed out due to our lack of confidence and the current work shortage that left us with no insurance department. I sleep better at night knowing that if any staff member were to leave tomorrow, we have experts ready to train our new staff immediately. For the first time in my career, I feel like I have a partner in practice! Pros: While not a fan of EHR or insurance, we have realized a near 300% increase in insurance collections just one month in and I can sleep at night knowing that the notes are audit proof. The real time monitoring of correct billing such as use of modifiers and meeting diagnosis criteria are amazing. The only thing I can appreciate as much or more is the ease of creating macros for types of patients and their respective diagnosis. SOAP notes for an exam take less than 3 minutes in many cases."

"Overall: I looked at all the systems. Here is the difference. While the others are going to cloud base Genesis has been fine tuning their cloud for years and years. Do you have a team of people that are working for you everyday after you leave the office? Before you arrive at the office? If there is a problem, they are already fixing it before you know about it. I love it. In my humble opinion, Genesis is like Innate Intelligence of the Chiropractic Office it runs behind the scenes taking care of all the vital functions allowing your educated brain to focus on what you should be. After only a few months that decision was a major regret and we are now back with them! They have come so far in their advances from how we started with them to now. "FANTASTIC experience with Genesis"" Pros: What I like most is that all the bases are covered and covered well! The practice management part is top notch with their tasking system, patients do not fall through the cracks, staff is held responsible and it is all easily trackable. The reports are fantastic and customizable- which is so important for me since I am not only a chiropractic office but have a wellness center with many different disciplines- also there is a radar chart that allows you to know what is going on with all aspects of your practice in seconds at any time. The scheduling, reminders- easy to use and very intelligently designed. The team is what makes the whole thing come together- they are very responsive, really knowledgeable about all aspects of the system and there is access to the programmers for possible input to make something better for your office or in general. They are on site and open to new ideas. I truly can't say enough! Cons: I am truly happy. This is my 3rd company- finally, I have what I need to run my practice."
