The Navigation Bar and the Home screen are the only things that actually change when you first log into 2.0. Everything else you turn on at your own pace, without risking your data or forcing your whole team to switch at once. Each person on staff turns on what they are ready for, on their own timeline. No one is held to someone else’s pace, and no one is pushed ahead of their own.
Here is what is new, organised by the screen you will find it on, so you know exactly what you are turning on.
A Navigation Bar built for speed
Log into 2.0 and the first thing you will notice is the Navigation Bar, because it is the one piece of the interface that is genuinely different from 1.0. Everything else — your scheduler, charts, tasks, documentation — is available as an individual toggle from either version, so the Navigation Bar is where the new workflow actually starts.
It is more than a new look. In 1.0, you moved between screens using tabs built into the tool itself. In 2.0, that navigation moves to a left-side panel, and switching between screens works through your browser’s own tabs — the same way you already juggle tabs anywhere else online. One less system to learn, because you already know how to use it.
From anywhere in the system, you can now:
- Message your team without losing your place. Send and receive high-priority staff channel messages right from the Navigation Bar. Usage reports show it is a small feature with outsized adoption: practices that discover it end up relying on it constantly.
- Jump straight to a task or a chart. Open any task, or open (or create) a patient’s chart, from any screen. No need to navigate back to a home base first.
- Sign in with a passkey. Skip the login, password, and office code combination entirely.
- Make the Navigation Bar yours. Customise which menu items appear for quick access, search the menu itself instead of hunting through it, and choose which tickers show up in your Navigation Bar.
A Home screen that works, not just displays
The 2.0 Home screen is fully customisable — pick your own widgets and report thumbnails — but the real change is that it is interactive. You are not just looking at data anymore; you can act on it.
- Widgets do the work. Handle messages, manage tasks, and touch patient care directly from the Home screen, without opening a separate module.
- See where your day actually stands. The mini-agenda shows today’s patients with integrated rooming, so you know exactly where everyone is physically, not just what is on the schedule.
- Manage tasks without leaving the Home screen. The Tasks mini-widget is fully interactive and clear about what you own or care about, right from the screen you land on.
A Scheduler that shows you more, faster
The Scheduler looks and works like the one you already know. It just does more before you have to ask.
- Flag what matters. Critical information is now flagged for high visibility across Day, Week, and Agenda views; hover to see what is flagged before you even open the chart.
- Real-time agenda, fully loaded. Your list of patients for any date range updates in real time, with rooming detail, documentation status, and billing status built in — and every item in that list is one click away from its full action menu.
- Family linking and scheduling. Connect family members or related patient accounts directly within the system, eliminating manual work. Once linked, book appointments for the whole family in a single workflow: select everyone from a list, arrange the order, and the system stacks a clean sequence on the calendar.
- Intake forms, not paperwork. Turn an existing intake or history PDF into a fillable, signable ClinicMind form patients complete right from MyClinicMind before they ever arrive. No re-keying, no printed clipboard.
- Telehealth, with a text. Send a telehealth meeting link straight to a patient’s phone by text — from the Telehealth Queue, the Appointment Preview, or the Chart Encounter Widget — so the visit starts on time and AI Scribe can start capturing it the moment it begins.
A chart built around how you actually work
You will still chart the way you always have. What has changed is how much of the work is already done by the time you open it.
- Customise what you see. Widgets and the action menu are easily customisable, so users with different workflows can focus on what is important to their own roles.
- Read a patient’s history at a glance. The encounter bar gives you a colour-coded view of visit history without digging into individual notes.
- Documentation, with AI built in. AI now reads and files incoming faxes, does the same for documents uploaded into a chart, scribes and updates visit documentation, and reads a driver’s licence or insurance card straight into new-patient and demographics forms.
- Care Plans become Visit Plans. Care Plans track patient compliance automatically. Set a visit frequency and the system handles the calculations for you, splitting visits across insurance, cash, and free types, with visual status indicators — green, amber, red — tracking adherence across the chart, calendar, and FlexNotes.
Coming soon: first half of October

- Referral Portal. Give referring attorneys and other referral sources direct visibility into where a patient’s treatment stands, without a phone-tag chain between your front desk and their office.
- Membership Plan. Offer patients a flat, recurring fee for cash-pay services that are never billed to insurance: wellness adjustments, med-spa add-ons, and the like. Build the plan once, and enrolling a patient handles everything from there automatically.

Most 2.0 users today still run several of those modules on their 1.0 versions, by choice, as ClinicMind rolls out improvements in stages.
