Nobody joined a practice to retype PDF forms, chase down portal invites, or hunt through reports for one number. This month's ClinicMind release goes after exactly that kind of work. The updates do two things: save your team time with smarter tools, and make every visit smoother for your patients. From AI-generated visit summaries to automatic room handoffs — here's what's new.

Here's what's new:
- AI-Powered Documentation & Forms: Notes and forms that build themselves
- Patient Access & Engagement: Easier telehealth, clearer portal adoption
- Chart & Workspace: Mark up images, flag what matters, track expirations
- Everyday Operations: Fewer manual steps from registration to room turnover
AI-Powered Documentation & Forms
For clinicians and front desk. Two of the most time-consuming tasks in a practice — writing patient-facing notes and building forms — now have a faster path thanks to AI.
Visit Summaries Now Write Themselves
AI-Powered. When a clinician finishes a visit, they can now generate a patient-friendly version of the visit note with one click. AI drafts the After Visit Summary, the clinician can edit it, then send it straight to the patient in their MyClinicMind app. Quicker for the clinician and simpler to understand for the patient.
Your PDFs Convert to Custom Forms
AI-Powered. Your existing PDF forms — consent documents, questionnaires, intake paperwork — are a simple upload and convert away from becoming interactive forms. No need to build or rebuild from scratch. Upload your PDF, convert it, and AI pulls your fields in, adds a signature pad, and lets you adjust anything before it goes live as a dynamic patient form.
Patient Access & Engagement
For front desk and clinicians. Getting patients into a telehealth visit used to have more friction than it needed to. And knowing who's actually using the patient portal has always been harder to track than it should be. Both of those things have changed.
Text Telehealth Links Straight to Patients
New. There is now an easier way for patients to join telehealth appointments. Patients get a text with their telehealth link — tap it and they're in instantly. No app download, no login required. Fewer patients dropping off before the call even starts.
See Who's Using MyClinicMind
New. A new report shows exactly which patients have activated their MyClinicMind app, which haven't, and whether their email is on file. For anyone missing an email — you know to give them a call. For the rest, you can send a bulk portal invite in one go.
Chart & Workspace
For clinicians. These updates make it easier to capture what you see during a visit, flag what matters most, and stay on top of documents that have a shelf life.
Mark Up Clinical Images Directly
New. Providers can now draw and type directly on images inside the chart — in the Images widget or in Dock view. The annotation saves right on the image. And when you're using FlexNote V2, you'll be able to drop that annotated image straight into the note as well — that's coming soon.
Flagged Notes Now Stand Out in Red
New. Flag any note or sticky and it turns red, pins to the top of the widget, and shows up in the appointment tooltip on the schedule. Critical information stands out before you even open the chart — so nothing important gets buried in a long list of notes.
Track Expiring Documents Automatically
New. Set an expiration date on any document — authorizations, release of information forms, anything time-limited. When a document is getting close to expiry, it flags. When it's expired, it flags. A new Document Expiration report gives you a view of everything expiring soon or already expired across the whole practice, so no document stays out there longer than you want it to.
Everyday Operations
For all staff. From the moment a patient is registered to the moment a room turns over — these updates reduce the manual steps that slow your team down throughout the day.
Create Patients from the Search Bar
New. Click the search field and a Create Patient button appears right there. Click it, fill in the details, save — and you're done. No extra navigation, no switching screens.
Treatment Rooms Free Up Automatically
New. When a doctor hits Finish Later on a visit, that patient used to stay sitting in the room on screen — blocking it even though they were done with their appointment. Now the patient moves to a new Pending Billing room automatically. The physical room opens back up and nobody has to move them manually.
Care Plan Workflow and Layout Revised
Improved. Care Plan now tracks patient compliance automatically. Set a visit frequency and the system handles the rest — calculating the date range with no manual date math, and splitting visits across insurance, cash, and free from the start. As visits happen, the card tracks compliance for you: green means on track, amber means some visits were missed, red means the patient has fallen behind. That status follows the patient everywhere — the chart banner from any open note, the scheduling calendar for your front desk, and a Flex note, where the plan of care becomes part of the clinical documentation.
Dashboard Mini-Widgets on Your Home Screen
New. The home screen now shows you exactly what you want to track — right when you log in. Pick the KPIs that matter to your role, arrange them the way you want, and hover over any data point to see the detail behind the number. No digging through reports.
From the Front Desk to the Treatment Room
Less hunting, less manual work, and faster access to the information you need. All updates are effective June 26, 2026.
